Announcement on 2014–15 and Beyond
Thanks so much to everyone who has played our game for the last three years. It has been a blast playing with you, and we appreciate each of you sticking with us through numerous technical problems with our two incarnations of the SFP website. As non-programmers with full-time work and family responsibilities, SFP has always been a challenge for us to maintain, and your persistence and enthusiasm have motivated us to keep things going.
As you have probably noticed, there have been a few bugs with the site, as well as many features that we had hoped to roll out but never had time to implement. With only around two months' worth of turnaround time between seasons, our busy schedules simply haven't allowed us to craft a user experience as enjoyable and detailed as we wanted.
With these things in mind, we've decided to take a temporary break from actually operating the SFP so that we have time to build a better SFP for the years to come. In particular, we're planning to add features such as
Ultimately, our goal is to create a site that matches or exceeds the user experience at major fantasy sites, while retaining our own unique style of play.
Our current plan is to take a break for at least the first half of the 2014–15 season in order to implement some of these changes and new ideas. We may try to be ready in time for a half-season league around the start of 2015, if there is interest, with normal season-long service resuming for 2015–16. One thing is certain: SFP is not dead yet, and we refuse to go on the cart. We WILL be back.
In the meantime, we would also be interested in finding beta testers to experiment with new features as we bring them online. If that sounds like something you might want to do, then let us know.
Please continue to keep up with us on Twitter, and bookmark this site for announcements, or you can e-mail email@example.com with any questions, any time. We wish everyone the best in both life and football, and good luck to
